A Continuous Ink Supply System (CISS) has long become more than just a convenient add-on for an inkjet printer — it is a real financial lifesaver for anyone who regularly prints large volumes of documents, photos, or educational materials. When it comes to saving money, many users are surprised: is the system truly as profitable as manufacturers promise? The answer is clear — yes, but only if we look beyond surface-level claims and evaluate real calculations and long-term usage. A Printer Upgrade That Helps You Save on Ink The traditional printer model based on original cartridges involves significant ongoing expenses. One set of cartridges for popular printer brands such as HP, Canon, or Epson costs between €40 and €70, depending on the type and number of colors. At the same time, a single cartridge typically prints 150–300 pages. With simple calculations, we can estimate that the cost of printing one page ranges from €0.15 to €0.25 — and even more when printing color photos or presentation materials.
